enjoyed the ‘In the Net’ play when they visited this week. Performed in a fun way, this puts forward a very serious message to the children regarding the need for vigilance by both the pupils as ‘on-line users’ and the adults caring for them in monitoring their digital footprint. If you are interested in finding out more about this topic Children in Northern Ireland are running a free ‘Cyber Safety for Parents’ workshop in the Lisburn Civic Centre on 15th March, 6.30-9pm. To book your place call 028 9040 1290 or visit www.ci-ni.org.uk/cybersafety
Our P7 pupils recently had a fantastic trip to the RADAR centre (Risk Avoidance Danger Awareness Resource!) returning with a smile and a much better understanding about 'Keeping Safe'.
Now open just one year it remains Northern Ireland’s only fully interactive, safety and life skills education centre. It’s interactive, fun, and informative. RADAR gives young people a unique chance to explore dangerous situations in a risk free environment. During the visit they participated in 6 stations covering a range of scenarios including safety on the farm, on the bus, in the house and being in court. See the P7 home page for more photos....
