Day to Day

Our day in Playgroup starts at 9.00am when we have our messy play time with the sand, water, painting, play dough and gluing and sticking.

This time is also known as Free Play where children are free to choose other table top activities, role play corner and our quiet corner with jigsaws and books.

At about 10.00am we have our break, when groups of 6-8 children can have a healthy snack together.  During this time the messy area is cleaned away in preparation for the structured activity.  This is a varied activity each month and is connected to our theme for the month.

At 10.40am our children go outside to our new safe and secure fenced in area.  This is a new addition to our playgroup and is enjoyed by all.

The children come back into playgroup at 11.00am when tidy-up music is played and the children are encouraged to clear away all our toys.

By 11.10am we are ready for our quiet time - this is usually singing, discussing our special theme and ending with a story.

Children's art work is then distributed in time for our doors opening at 11.30am.
