Dear Parents,

The aim of this website is to give you a greater insight into the ethos and day-to-day running of Ballymacash Primary School, Nursery Unit and Playgroup.

Having previously been Vice-Principal in the school, I am delighted to now have the opportunity as Principal to continue the work of my colleague and predecessor Mr Gilmore.

Our school is ‘a place where we develop, achieve and enjoy’ and we hope that by reading this document you will become more aware of what we as a school are trying to achieve and realise that many people, including you, have an important part to play in the educational, social, physical and emotional growth of your child.

My staff and I are endeavouring to provide a safe, friendly environment in which your child can develop the skills which will allow him or her to grow into an independent, responsible adult, and with your co-operation I feel we can successfully achieve this.

As a father of three young children I am aware of the importance of choosing the right school, knowing your children are having the best opportunity to succeed and that they are happy. At Ballymacash we try to maximize the links between home and school for the benefit of our pupils. Therefore should you have any concerns or questions, we will always be available to discuss any aspects of your child's development,
