Our main aim at Ballymacash, through the playgroup, nursery and primary school, is to provide each child with the opportunity to experience success in learning and to achieve as high a standard as possible.  By providing a broad and balanced curriculum in line with the requirements of the Northern Ireland Curriculum, our priority is to ensure that children gain a firm grounding in the basic skills of reading, writing and number work in the early years, thus enabling them to cope better with the six areas of learning as they pass through the school.  In addition to this, there is considerable emphasis placed upon each child’s Personal Development and Mutual Understanding and the explicit development of Thinking Skills and Personal Capabilities.
